Caroline, Ineke, Alex and I decided to take a trip to Chester yesterday evening to see the lights and the Christmas market. We had a lovely time of course, even catching the lantern parade which was for one night only! And safely home by 9.15 as some people had to go to work early this morning.

each local school had a lantern making workshop, and there were hundreds of kids with their lanterns.

we stopped some boys afterwards and asked how they'd made the lanterns. They gave them to us so we could work it out. So now we each have quite a large hollow pyramid hanging about.

Lovely to see the christmas decorations
I particularly like the wall of baubles. We are also starting to see some festive displays in New Zealand!
