Just a quick report from Fiji. We are staying in a fabulous quiet resort in Mango Bay which is miles and miles from anywhere.
Any report would read along the lines of "got up, had breakfast by the beachside pool, lay in the sun, had a swim/massage, ate lunch by the beachside pool, lay in the sun, had a swim in the sea, had dinner and a few drinks, went to bed." Of course the word few could be substituted by the word 'some' or 'a lot', depending on the mood. Although it is quiet, there are still quite a lot of activities going on at night and during the day to keep us going.
Before we got here we spent the last few days of our New Zealand trip with Linda's cousin Pauline and her husband Mark. They were brilliant hosts. On the Sunday we had a BBQ with some of their grown up children which was, for Linda, quite emotional. On Monday Mark took us on a nice ticky tour around the greater Auckland area, whilst we spent Tuesday on a last day shopping tour in Auckland, before catching an EARLY flight to Fiji on the Wednesday.
What can we possibly say about the New Zealand part of our tour. To reiterate from previous logs it has been: stunning, spectacular, scenic, marvellous, find your own adjectives. To put it more succinctly it was ABSOLUTELY BLOODY MARVELLOUS.
This will probably be our one and only message from Fiji as the computer is slow, well used and doesn't support a USB link. Will talk to you soon from Los Angeles!
Ken and Linda
PS A big thanks to Pauline and Mark for looking after us.
