We are all freaks

If someone asked me 3 weeks ago when I was rolling around in my own deep thoughts about life that I would actually make it all the way to Oz… I don’t think I would have believed them. But 2 flights, many sleep tablets, a massive jetlag and many many kind advises and words – I’m here. Or Weare here!

It has taken me almost 4 days to get back up on my feet and I can now finally enjoy the beauty around me. I realised for the billions of times that there are no rules, it’s ok to be overwhelmed and that I’m not the only freak in this world. Happy days! Enough about that.

First impression of this massive country? Its massive. Here are trees everywhere! We are now out in Frankston, a seaside suburb of Melbourne, where most of the welcoming Hamilton family lives. Imagine that there are trees around you where you live, and then double all the trees and there you go. It’s like they live in the forest. I love it.

Today we went in to Melbourne to visit Micks sister Jaquie. Even inside the city there are parks and green areas everywhere. A lot of cool bars and cafes and many enjoyable hangouts. It’s all just look very cool to me… I think I’m in love.

Yesterday we went to the beach with Micks other sister (believe me, here are a lot of family members and names to try to remember and recognise… maybe I remember all of them just in time for xmas…) I thought it was an absolute beautiful beach with white sand and clear water. But apparently this was one of the “ok” ones… Can’t wait to see the good ones! (pics will come shortly)

Tomorrow we are flying up to Brisbane to go for a road trip along the coast and do what we do best – camping, farting and exploring! I’m so excited I might cry. I don’t really know what to expect but I’m sure that we will have an amazing time. I will let you know for sure…
