A New Adventure

All four of our children have traveled to Europe but it was a trip Marci and I never managed to take. We decided that a special trip was needed to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary and maybe we needed to consider Europe as a destination. The question was just where should we go and what did we want to spend our time doing. We have done some cruising and enjoyed it and liked being able to have a "Hotel" that took us from place to place instead of packing, unpacking and going through the airport scene every time we wanted to change locations. After looking at the options and having conversations with our travel agent, we found a cruise that we felt would give us the best capsule view. It was to be a whirlwind tour of 11 ports in 9 countries in 14 days. When our oldest Granddaughter decided to get married, we gladly agreed to postpone our trip for a year so we could attend her wedding.

Now a year later, (50+1) we are going through our packing lists and trying to get organized for our delayed anniversary cruise. We will be flying early tomorrow from California to Dallas and then to Paris. After four nights in Paris we will take the Chunnel to London where we will spend two nights and then board the Golden Princess for our Southern European Explorer Cruise. I will have internet access while we are aboard ship but am not sure what will be available prior to the time we sail. I will attempt to keep this Blog posted as we move from place to place with maybe even a picture or two thrown in. In order to help us enjoy our trip, you must first agree to tolerate a misspelled word now and again because this site does not have a spell check available and the computers I will be using may or may not have one either.
