Our second to last campsite in Canada was in Canmore. There Joe and Cindy found the dinner theatre program, "O Canada!" just minutes from our campsite, and we all took advantage of it. Pics follow. Next night (the last night in Canada) was a one-night-stand in Cranbrook where we spent our very last penny of Canadian currency (Ron used his bills on diesel; and I used up the coin on supper stuff). Next day, we headed across the border into Montana and the lower 48 of the USA (yeah!) which we have not been in since June 1st. Our campsite here is 5 miles from the west entrance to Glacier National Park; so we drove in that first afternoon to look around and get hiking maps. Yesterday (our first full day here) we took an hour and 1/2 free shuttle from the Visitor Transit Center to Logan Pass, and hiked UP (really up; some on boardwalk steps, and some on flat rock) to the Hidden Lake overlook. Ate lunch sitting on a rock overlooking the lake far below, our backpacked-food constantly challenged by insistent Columbian ground squirrels. On both the hike up and the return down, we were graced by the
very close presence of white mountain goats. Free spirits munching on the prolific and colorful expanse of wildflowers. One mountain goat jumped down rocks right in front of us at lunch. Needless to say, we were tired by the time the hour and a half return tram ride delivered us back to the Apgar Visitor Center after the hike. (Someone--I won't say who, but his name starts with R--even dozed off on the way down.) So we bought huckleberry ice cream to revive ourselves!

Can't believe Immigration let you back in
Beautiful campsite at Canmore. Love the trees. We want to go to Glacier, maybe next summer so take good notes for us. Our kids would love the kid goats.
