Jon and Joyce Osborn have parted with us for their trip USA-ward; and the Gerdes and the Ancells are feeling like kids without guiding parents! THANK YOU, JON AND JOYCE!

Nevertheless, we bought a pass that gave us a whopping adventure yesterday. The pass allowed us--in one day!--to take an hour horseback ride that took us up and down hills, through magnificent scenery, and crossed a river twice. Then we rode a gondola to view the town of Banff from WAY high up, and enjoy 360 degree views. Then, back at the base of the gondola, we climbed several long flights of outdoor stairs to the Upper Banff Hot Springs, and warmed our aching muscles in a huge 102 degree sulphur hot spring water pool (no odor because of chlorination). Magnificent day. But oh, were we tired kids by the end of the day.

Here are the pics of our next-to-last day with Jon and Joyce, and our first day on our own ...

The perfect day
OK, the horse back riding looks like fun!, and the views speak for themselves. I hope they had a bar next to the pool, just to help sooth the sore muscles from all that riding. Brad
