So here we are....decided to join travel blog as a way to stay in contact with friends and family

So many of you have called us or e-mailed to ask how we are doing

Well we are doing fine and dandy.
We are at Gympie at present waiting for our sweet camper to be fitted with an extension diesel tank so that we can roam into the wide blue yonder.

Kalimera camper is great and even so we are travelling at snail pace it's all sweet and dandy.

It has been raining pretty much all the way up the coast. The ocean is wild and woolly so I have not been surfing but we have been hiking heaps in rainforests , watched magnificent rainbows appear, got the van muddy and sandy - tested a few off road conditions 😊, played heaps of games and of course most importantly visited ah so so many friends along the way and all of you have been so great in putting up with us and our washing. We have joined a Hare Krishna festival and a few other alternative thingamies in the hills of the Byron coast. I have had the chance to do a few Yoga classes along the way. Geof has cleaned and upgraded stuff on the camper and just keeping it moving. We have hopped on the bike and explored and have swum regardless of the crazy conditions.

Had some super nice camp spots just in the bush with the local wildlife

Can't add any new photos cause can't connect my camera here in the library but I think you get the drift.
Hopefully we will get better at doing this and don't want to garble on too much cause lets face it most of you have been around this way yourself.

Hope this finds you all smiling and dancing in sunshine.

Sounds like a great trip, and good to hear from you.

Great to be able to escort your trip and satisfy our nosey drive to know where abouts you are.
Hi you two explorer of wildlife and camping life, Peter had looked last 2 weeks for a slide on van for us as well, as our plans to travel through Europe and Germany (after being retired) presently on weekends or holidays need to be iniated. But right now we had to stop those plans as it might be that Peter needs to search for another job by end of 2013 and we´ll need to keep our reserves. Well we are positive that there will be another time to start this project again - hopefully not in too long distance. Have great great fun, fine and pleasant conditions - a behaved vehicle and much joy of all spectacular and inspectacular nature. Hugs from a hot and great summerday Christine and Peter

Yes - glad you've got the hang of it.
I've been out with Pedro on Wednesday, and motored to South Stradbroke Is. to a place called Tipplers. It felt like heaven, an island resort so close! See next week's blog: Sailing Moreton Bay National Park on christinedeacon2.wordpress.com
