Well, the last 14 hours has been tiresome, but I have arrived! I am currently in Stuttgart, Germany and will be making my way to Schwabisch Hall in the morning. It's hard to imagine that less than a day ago I was in Denver, CO...wow... I've already taken several photos, but unfortunately I'm not able to load them as I'm using the hotel's computer... I'll post more as I'm able, believe you me. :-) I am most definitely excited to be here! I can't wait until I'll actually be learning German, though! I can get by with my English, but I'd like to be able to understand what's being said around me. :-) Alright, well it's time for me to find some supper. I'll do my best to keep this as up to date as possible, but I'm not promising a daily report. :-)

Kommen sie aus Amerika?
Hi! sounds like your flights were good. We were happy to read that. We are sooo jealous! Hope your first few days are fun. Keep us posted. How is the weather? We are just roasting here. Staying very close to the air conditioners. Jan is feeling better today. Even played in the band at church. He is currently putting the faucets on the new tub. Woo-hoo! We will have to send YOU some pictures. ( NO, I will not be in the tub. the tub will be empty.. Ha!) Love you. Miss you. Please email your address so I can mail your birthday card. :)

Wilkommen nach Deutschland!
It was great to hear from you so quickly. Glad to hear that the hotel had wifi. Jon printed off your Ich bin hier message, so Dad and I could read it. Hope the train ride to Schwabisch is uneventful and that you find your way to the school. Right now I've got my fingers crossed that you will have air conditioning in your dorm room! Love, Mom

Hey Annie, Thanks for letting me use your car! It seems you chose the perfect time to leave...your car wouldn't start this morning. We think it's either the ignition switch or something in the computer; let's pray it's just the switch! Jon

Deutchsland!!
How exciting! Last year, another niece - Kathryn Bartholomew - spent the spring semester in Vietnam. It was a lot of fun to get her reports about travels and activities. I'll look forward to hearing about your experiences. XO, Karen

Jon just arrived from Denver and got me signed up. I'm so happy! It is midnight, and Jon leaves for Chicago in the morning, so I can't keep him up too much later. Want you to know that I think of you every day and wish you the best. Take care and have lots of fun! Love you, Lois
