Happy New Year everyone 😊
Our introduction to Thailand went off with a bang here in Bangkok for new year! we celebrated the new year down on Kao San Road, which is the party capital of Bangkok! thousands of people, fireworks and lots of booze made it a night to errrr REMEMBER!!! well sort of remember!!
Before new years eve we had a chance to wonder about and check out some of the sights of Bangkok. On sunday we were lucky to find a temple that was holding a Buddhist teaching for the locals with prayers and chants. We were the only westerners there and were made to feel really welcome. The temple had two huge golden Buddhas at the back of the temple and the Wat complex was massive with other meditation halls. It was a special moment and we were really lucky to have stumbled upon it whilst the teaching was happening (check the pics below)
Our experience of Bangkok so far has been brilliant. The people are great and the food (it's all about the food) is out of this world. I think on a day to day basis India is more caotic than Bangkok
but Bangkok has the party and social scene unlike India (apart from Goa) so they are both mental in their own unique ways 😊
We are chilling out in Bangkok for a few more days to catch some of the amazing sights it has to offer then we make our way north, can't wait to see what the rest of Thailand has to offer 😊

Hi Rich & Jess, Glad to see you had a good New year, the photo\'s are great. Sorry to hear about your boots, someone was desperate!!. Vic just said those boots were made for walking and they walked away from you or you or someone has decided to stand in another man\'s boots, now that is BUDDA!!!.
