Last morning today on Phu Quoc spent soaking in the last few rays....

Good afternoon Ho Ching Ming City..... We are booked into a hostel already so they arrange pickup from the airport for us.

Wow this is Bangkok but in super drive! I can't believe my eyes at the amount of mopeds on the roads thankfully were in a taxi so we don't have to battle with them. The next thing I notice is the cabling in this place.... Hundreds and hundreds of telephone cables run above the streets all going in different directions meeting the slim line buildings that seem to be squeezed into any gap possible.

We arrive at Madam cuc 64, a lovely warm welcome from the ladies here. Slightly concerned about the amount of stairs in this place, we are only on the fourth floor but blimey that's a lot of stairs, the bags are thankfully hoisted up for us.

The street we are staying on is called Bui Vien is buzzing like an ants nest, so much to look at, but its all happening at once. The street is lined with street vendors, bars, boutique shops, restaurants, bakeries, art galleries and so much more.

For food we head out in search of a place in Kate's rough guide book, called Poh 2000.

We find it on the corner by the main market, heaving with Vietnamese and tourists, good sign and it helps having the pictures of president George bush eating there on the wall....how random!

The food is delicious, a traditional Vietnamese dish is a type of Chicken noodle soup.

We try out a few bars for Kate and Andy's last night here : ( one of which consists of plastic chairs and tables set up along the road side. We sat there Mixing with the locals, watching the traffic still buzzing past whilst entertained by a fire eating and razor eating Vietnamese boy..... Can this place get any more random? Yes of course it can, but we love it!
