The moment I wasn't looking forward to, teaching. We arrived at maunga school and were greeted by a few kids who were just staring at the funny white folks, then when the bell rang about 40 kids came out of nowhere. First task was to help out with watering the plants then the lesson started. We taught them some basic info about north American countries and it wasn't as daunting as I first thought. After some pack up breakfast it was football time and thinking I was helping them out I went on the girls team, 5 mins in I was knackered ( not sure if it was lack of fitness or the heat) and then as I was running for the ball with no one else around me I took a tumble and picked myself up to a chorus of laughter. After lunch it was time for the volunteers favourite job, cub sit. There are 5 new cubs at lion encounter, three 7 months old and two 6 months old. Nkoya is my favourite she is the smallest, the cutest and is always stalking everyone.

Glad to hear you are working hard! Can't wait for you to post some photos of Nkoya, I'm so jealous, I'd love to 'cub sit'. Think I'd be pretty useless at the rest though! Dad is getting ready for his annual boat trip but first we are going to Becca's 9th birthday party so you are not the only one who'll be surrounded by dangerous animals today! Keep taking the tablets and talk soon, love Mum
