The Castle and the SheepThe Castle and the SheepThe Castle and the Sheep

One of my favorite shots, and I actually might rework it a little better and submit it to a photo competition that I saw in the paper promoting Scottish tourism.
Sitting in France at the moment, just over the border from Switzerland, and it's the first chance I've had to go back through pictures and put together the rest of the this blog for Scotland. Italy has been in between Scotland and Switzerland...Milan, a day trip to the Italian Riviera, and 2 and a half days in Venice...I'll catch up eventually! lol The writing goes much quicker, but the pictures really tell the story much better than I can, so I like to be able to include both but it takes some time to go back through the pictures and format them for uploading. These are just a sampling of pictures....I've taken hundreds upon hundreds so once we get back, if anyone is interested in seeing more, just let me know! 😊

Also, on a side note, there have been a few comments and I've tried to respond to those, but evidently they show up as private, and then aren't able to be seen by anyone who is just a subscriber (versus those who actually signed up for an account). So please know I've tried to acknowledge any comments, but it doesn't seem as though you'll see them. I'll have

this one was just too cute!
to see if I can figure out how to make them public.

So, pictures to follow are mostly of Kilchurn Castle, a few of the town of Invararey which was founded by the Duke of Argyle in 1745 (you'll see pictures of the current Duke of Argyl's home there), along with shots of the Rest and Be Thankful Pass.

These are the tree stumps that were underwater and supposedly made it appear as though someone was walking on water.
