After our 13 hour flight and a few days of meeting up with friends and family, we had the pleasure of celebrating my brother Terry and his fiance Lisa's wedding. The wedding was beautiful in every way, with many romantic and humorous incidents along the way. To start our day, Terry hired a nice limo to take us from Shoreham, Long Island to Staten Island, where Lisa is from and where the wedding took place. The limo ride was alot of fun and a good chance to catch up with my siblings, while Melanie and everyone else were scheduled to take a charter bus to the wedding later that day.

While Terry and all the groomsmen were getting ready for the wedding at Lisa's parents house, we had some very interesting moments - especially when we realized that the vest for Terry, the groom, was the wrong color!! It happend to be the same color as my dad's, and after a few four letter words, we were back on track...until Terry started to worry about how his hair looked. It was actually a little funny watching my brother worry about his hair and how he looked, when in my whole life he's been the most laidback person I know and usually does not really care about that sort of thing. After finally making it to the church, the wedding ceremony took place. The church was beautiful and of course the bride, Lisa, was stunning. As she entered the church you could see this glow about her and a smile from ear to ear, which eventually turned into a few tears of hapiness. As Lisa walked down the aisle I could see my brother trying to hold back his tears as well, but was unsuccessful. In fact, I think he was wiping his eyes throughout the entire ceremony...he's such a teddy bear.

One of the funniest moments of the day was when we were taking the wedding party pictures and the photogropher had asked us to pick Terry up! Well, he's not the feather-weight he once used to be and we definitely had some difficulty lifting him. We probably could have done it though if it wasn't for his hilarious comments, so he started to slip out of our hands which led to some very memorable photos!!

Off to the reception, where the cocktail hour was amazing with enough food to feed a small country! After a few cocktails, some pictures, and some plates (Yes, PLATES - plural) of appetizers, we headed to the reception hall where we thought some of Terry's dance moves may have caused him to hurt his back!!

The new couple looked so happy with their friends and family celebrating their special day with them...Except of course for the snapshot that shows them sleeping at their table!! Maybe they weren't having as much fun as everyone thought!! Just kidding!

After the wedding my brother and new sister in-law went on a cruise for their honeymoon, and a week later, moved to North Carolina. Thank god for Skype so we can all stay in touch as much as we do! We wish them all the luck and happiness with their marriage, and hope to see them both again soon!

Thank you for a wonderful time at your wedding and we miss you both very much...

Love,
Larry & Melanie
