Hello all,
Final blog, only one whole day left!!!
We've spent the last ten days in and around Bangkok taking day trips via train to diffferent places. One which I was desperate to take was a day trip to Kanchanaburi where we saw the Bridge over the River Kwai. We paid our respects at one of the war graves and went to a museum which had original paintings/ photographs and stories of soilders involved in the construciton of the bridge depicting what they endured during such a horrific time as POW's.
We intentionally wanted to spend two days in Pattaya but on arrival we knew that we wouldn't have enjoyed ourselves so we jumped back on a train to Bangkok the very same day. A 7 hour return journey for 1 hour on a grim, parasol rammed beach.
Ayuthya was a hardcore day sightseeing around ruins. We had missed our temple ruins after having left Angkor Watt some time ago. Made for some nice pics.
Back in Bangkok, we've had more sightseeing days and plenty of shopping. Off to the weekend market again tommorrow and then packing as we're up early Sunday morning for a flight
to Doha then onto Heathrow!!
Oh and perhaps off to see a ping pong show tonight, can't imagine being able to post any pics though ;0)
