Home of Nicholas Conpernicus. We toured his house.

Very lovely old town. Almost free of any devastation from WWII

Not far from the villages of Great grandparents on mom's side. I'll attempt to rent a car on Saturday and make the 23 mile journey one way to the village.



It is Mother's day in Poland tomorrow. See the lovely roses and how they wrap them in the thin grass. 10zl or about $2.85 cents US! Everything is so cheap here. A Pint of ale is like $1.40 US. You can order a large pizza for about $5

We arrived
Taxi cab driver didn't take us for some reason. He said it was close enought to walk. IT WASN'T. It took us an hour to ask directions and lug around all of our luggage, finally purchasing tickets to a city bus-getting on and off was difficult. We wandered around for a while to find are apartment, but finally made it. Just off the old square. It is always an adventure getting someplace- yikes!

Beczka
Betch-Ka Resteraunt funny. Means Barrel but we always said someone who has a beer belly has a Beczka in Polish

There is a little pub up there now. This is a famous part of the old town wall as it is offset about 146 CM.

There is a little night club a floor down or so and a big throne - fits just right.

No elevators?, not good for the one's with leg/foot injuries. Poland is a beautiful country with lot's of great history and courages people.
