I built this one myself!
Hi all,

Been so busy, havent been online for a while...so taking this moment whilst I am packing to update you all on what I have been up to.

So i sadly left Nice on Friday morning, love that place. It was so relaxing to sit on the beach all day (favourite beach was Cannes) and then party at night. Was of course helped by the fact that I met some fabulous Dutch and Belgium boys. Really great fun and made my stay a blast. I hope to visit them all in their home towns.....great laugh!

So I headed for a quick Switzerland stop in Lauterbrunnen, near Interlarken. Unfortunately as I had extended my Nice stay, I could only stay one night. It was a beautiful drive in through the alps, and it was only then that i realised that I was missing out on an amazing part of my trip...oh well, will have to go back!

So after one night in Switz, and a full stomach of Rosti I headed for Munich. Ok, so I know I have said this a lot but I LOVE MUNICH. I am SOOOOOOOOOO coming back for Oktoberfest. The city is buzzing, especially with World Cup fever!

My first night in i went on a pub crawl that took us to one of the best known beer gardens, St Augistines. Now those that know me know that I despise beer....but oh what unfolded you will see from the pictures. YES, I have been drinking litres of the stuff for the past three days....Its delicious! Ok, I know you have probably just fallen off your computer chairs, but it's true...this stuff is that GOOD! This doesn't mean you can now buy me a pint at the pub, but I think when in Germany or Belgium etc....i will convert!

The next day, was a pretty emotional one. I spent the day at Dachau, the first concentration camp ever constucted. Dachua is only just out of Munich and it firstly served as a labor camp for political prisoners. Later, it was also used as a camp for social and ethnic prisoners (Jewish, Polish, Homosexuals etc). More than 40,000 people were murdered there from 1933-45, and the camp held more than 200,000 prisoners at once.

This is the first camp I have visited, and obviously it is vital that we all recognise the travesty that unfolded in the second world war, but I can't say I will be rushing to see another. Those that have visited camps will understand. Nevertheless, worth visiting to pay your respect.

After an emotional day, a few of us headed to the One and Only Hofbräuhaus...for more BEER! It's very touristy, but great fun!!! ´So with no hangover today (REALLY!!)....I went on a muncih walking tour which took me to the glockenspiel, royal residence, Frauenkirche etc... we saw were Hitler called his first political meeting (above the hofbräuhaus), and many other interesting sites. Most of Muncih was bombed during the war, so the majority of the buildings were only rebuilt 50 so years ago. They have done a great job though!

So after a relaxing visit this afternoon to the Englisch Gardens (where surfers ride the river current), I am now packing to head back to Venice. Wish i wasnt going alone (so sad! Where is my romantic lover), but really looking forward to it!!

Hope you are all well!!!

Lot of Love X
