I have more to come, but here are some photos to make up for the lack of photographs so far of my Japan trip on this blog. There are lots of food photographs for those of you who said you wanted to live vicariously through my food experiences.

The first excellent dinner Singapore Airlines served me (at about 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time).

At 1:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (noon in Tokyo the next day) Singapore Airlines brought out another excellent dinner that I attempted but couldn't eat too much.

I took the Skyliner from Narita Airport to Ueno Station. I jumped on so quickly it was empty for quite awhile in my car.

For Friday night I stayed in the New Izu Hotel in Ueno with Anna in this Japanese style room.

The bath is a traditional Japanese style bathing area, although Anna and I both just used the shower area Saturday morning (my Friday mid-day, for those of you who are trying to keep track).

Across from the area for bathing was the sink area with toothbrushes and other amenties available. I'm wearing PJs here instead of the traditional robes available since we were too tired.

It's a bit difficult to see from this picture, but the toilet has a bunch of different buttons and controls. It also has a heated seat that you can't turn off, which can be a bit disconcerting.

It was imperative we get Anna coffee. She stopped at a vending machine as we explored the Tsukiji market area.

Anna posed with her catch as well. This big catch was right across the street from the place we ate breakfast.

Those look amazing and delicious. I don't know how you'll come back to food here. :) I hope you're having a splendid time.
