Week of the 22nd

hello from hostel disovery its not to bad, not to great the room is mega hot and stuffy and it smells like 10 boys are festering in there!! maybe becasue there are 10 of them haha fun times!



said goodbye to nikki last night was sad as shes been absolutley amazing in taking us aroudn and showing us the sights we have done so much in these last 3 weeks its incredible! have lots of stories to tell.



ill try to tell a few up untill today....

on the 22nd we went to a beach in San Remo which is near Phillip Island, a lovely little beach where huge stingrays join you for a swim...i didnt brave it becuase iwant to finish my travels without having a barb through my heart!! that evening we had a lovely bbq with her parents and had a relaxing evening at the beach house.



23rd we headed off to Cowes (found a lot of places where twinned with the same place in the UK ie the Isle of White) which is interesting. had a snack of a devonshire cream tea....which is strange to say the least. the aussies where a mortified when chlo and I put the cream then jam on top.....they did it the other way! northers ha

24th Lucas bday....didnt get to speak to him but i tried 😞

that day we went to the Great Ocean Road it was pretty spectacular the drive itself was pretty windy lots of inlets and beaches, climbing the mountains to come out to a stunning view of the coastline. we finally reached our stop which was the 12 Apothstles which we amazing huge rocks carved away from the land i got some nice photos but still cant find anywhere that has a memory card but i will this week when we settle in a place for a few days...promise



we stayed in a hotel over night as the drive was a long way and got up graded room so that was lovely. the next day we drove back from the Great Ocean Road and headed straight for the city where Nikki went of for her brothers 21st bday dinner so we found an interenet cafe to try and sort some things out and ended up speaking to Katy and chloes dad which was nice! and went to the casino in the city which was cool had dinner and played on the pokies (slot machines)

we drove back that night quite late and crashed, had a lie in in the morning storing some energy for Australia day which was fun, we all got tatooed up and chlo and I had our ozzy shorts on. bbq and beckys and headed down the beach for a few hours playing games and chatting was a lovely relaxed day.

friday we organised our hostels for this weekend and a few days next week, we have a hostel card which gives us lots of dicounts on lots of food and trips so looking forward to putting that into use.



yesterday we went to hannahs leaving do, shes moving to canberra for a new job...was at least 35 degrees yesterday so we sat under a tree in the shade as it was just a sweat fest ha! we then went on to another of nikkis firend bday drinks at a pub bar and was there for a while untill it was time to say good bye ...felt very strange and will miss her and mick soooo sooo much but i know now its not forever😊

today....

today we got up pretty early and went out to explore i lost the lens to one of my rubbish pair of sunnies and was confused why my eyes where being wierd for chlo to turn around and burst into fits of laughter not tellin me what was wrong hahaha i soon relsed when she put them on ha



we then headed out on the free city tram and went to melbourn museum which was brilliant such a good place and a great place to get ot that mid day sun....as jen would say "11 till 3 sleep under a tree" haha

good day very worn out off to bed x night x

hi lovely lady! sounds like you are still having a ball you entries made me giggle! its nice to look back and remember the fun little moments we had.. to many to write down! I am back at work at the moment but am looking forward to keeping up to date with chlo and yours travels. I had to feel for you the other day in that crazy Melbourne heat its funny how much hotter it is there compared to when your down on the coast! anyways lovely i need to get back to work so so SO looking forward to seeing you guys on Friday keep safe xoxox nik
