skating Hello All !
Sorry that it has been awhile since my last blog! I have been very busy, but one of my many New Year’s resolutions is to write on my blog more so I promise more blogs will be coming to you all soon!
So as the title of this blog suggests, I whole semester has passed during my stay in Grenoble. It is incredible how time flyes! It seems like just yesterday that I was preparing to leave for France and stressed out about what awaited me. Now that I have spent a whole 4 months in Grenoble, I feel that it is my home because I have a whole new life there.
This semester I made tons of friends, had many new experiences and even.. dare I say it? Have a new French boyfriend that I have been seeing the past month. I know already that it will be very hard to leave this place, so I try not to think about it and live in the moment.
As I was saying.. since the last time a wrote in my blog I have been up to lots of fun and exciting things, when I

bowling party am not hard at work at school ! Bien sur!
With French friends as well as international ones too I have.. Gone bowling, ice-skating, played an awesome round of laser game, went to a cooking class to learn how to make some French specialities including a Tarte Tintin (which is an apple pie upside down.. very famous in france because everyone knows what it is. The story of the Tart Tintin goes way for back in French history where a cook accidently knocked over a pie as she was taking it out of the oven, and served it anyway upside down so no one would notice)
I also went to a wine tasting class and can tell you all that it takes 4 steps to be able to taste a wine like the pros!
-first admire the colour of the wine
-then sniff it
-twirl the wine then sniff it again
-then take a little bit in your mouth and try to suck air in your mouth the same time in a slurping noise-this makes you able to taste the wine better. Be careful not to laugh or you will have wine all over

My friend Cornelia in front of the christmas markets. you! It is a bit difficult not to because you feel ridiculous slurping wine when you are trying to be cultivated!
Also for the end of the semester I organized a Kareoke Party, which was allot of fun singing French and English songs with both local and international students. The French accent singing English music and vice versa made the night very amusing!
I also at the end November went to Lyon the second biggest city in France. The city center is beautiful, with all its massive old cathedrals and buildings. We took a boat trip onto the river, and also visited some modern art museums which were very interesting to say the least! I was shocked to see what was called art these days!
Voila all that I have been up to in Grenoble up to date.
For the holidays I went to Belgium again to spend Christmas with my old host family. It was great living in a nice big house after spending so much time in my 12 square room! Also it was nice having nice warm meals every night, and not having to cook anything by going to the common kitchens which

Kareoke party are situated 2 minutes away from my room...(but the time to take everything you need to your room to the kitchens and everything back it gets annoying!)
Needless to say I was very happy to be back with people who care about me in Belgium for the fetes!
Christmas was fun as usual. We had a sumptuous meal (champagne, fois gras...) and opened presents at midnight. The party went on until 3 in the morning! We danced and sang a bit but surtout ate and were merry.
New years I spent with my old Belgium friend Adeline and her family. There also we ate, drank and were merry but this time until 5 in the morning! The Belg really know how to party!
I return to Grenoble tomorrow to finish studying for the exams that I have coming up .
I have two the 10, both politics one in the morning and one late in the afternoon. So that should be a tiring day...
Then my last one is for economics on the 19. Then I will be finished the semester!
Next semester starts pretty soon after, with more courses, more adventures and

taylor, me and my boyfriend vianney. old and new friends I am sure. I am looking foward to a week of skiing at the end of January with some friends from Belgium who are coming down. So that should be a welcome after the exams.
Then the rest of the semester I plan to take some weekend off to do a bit of travelling out of the country which I did not really accomplish the first semester (except for Belgium bien sur!)
That is all for now! A la prochain!
Bonne année et Bonne Sante!
