This is a surprise ,considering The commies only left in 98..itnow looks so stylish and cultured.Its not really cheap like some had said..in fact Germany is cheaper...but these guys are switched on.Alot of people speak english which makes it easier to negotiate..and there is music EVERYWHERE.Last night we went to hear some Mozart and Vivaldi in a lovely old theatre..it was magic.It feels like the 30s here so much Cubinism,I really feel I should have a blonde wig ,red lipstick and wear a beret!!! The days amble by here..denis found a dentist had 3 extractions and a top denture for $300..no pain too and plenty of aenesthisia..those Ozzie dentists need to be overhauled!! Today went for a drive to warm up the car its been zero the last 2 days..got picked up by police who were amazed we were Australians ..told us to put our lights on all day and night.then gave us the thumbs up and a big smile thank god!! It was sad to leave Prague we never got sick of it..walked aroung gawking all day and soaking it up..frequented 3 favourite cafes for coffee the most amazing cakes and conversations!!!
Paid 350$ to the Camp for our 12
days there with free wifi.water,heating,showers etc.
Made our way back to germany via Nurnberg and Treuchtlingen to Fussen in Bavaria where we saw the mad king Ludwigs castle and walked around his home town .Its about 5 degrees daily now but still
sunny.From there we had a splendid drive across the alps int Austria near Innsbuck then finally down into Italy.near Bolzano.This is the TYROL where they speak both german and Italian
We have a week of luxury here with aheated pool and a mod apartment.Outside you can see the alps and hear the cow bells.With all that austrian and italian food and wine at 2euro a bottle what more can you need???.But folks we have struggled at times with the lack of pupose.. but.this living for the moment is a wonderful opportunity if we can leave aside our neurosis and just go with the flow of the day. Oh will we ever work again???? Next blog ITALY.....
