While in Boston, we took the subway into the city and took part in the "Freedom Trail". This self-guided 2.5 mile walk took us past 16 historical sites, by following a red line or red brick path, and covered 2.5 centuries of America's past. Was one of the more interesting days we have spent. Even the 45 minute subway ride was great - Gerry finally didn't have to drive!

Holocaust Memorial

Overwhelming memorial dedicated to lives lost during the Holocaust. Each glass tower represents one of six concentration camps and lists over 6,000,000 numbers that symbolize each life lost. Underdeath each tower steam rises through metal grates, and quotes are enscribed on some of the panels. Very moving.

I'm sure there is some philosophical link between taverns and tombstones ... besides the obvious.

We golfed Wickenburg 2 years ago and did like the course - sounds like you got a good deal! I think we beat you though in Wilson, NC - round of golf for 2, bucket of balls, lunch, camping fees - all for a daily fee of $55. Latest beer find - $10.99 for 24 cans. No chicken though, so Gerry & Dave will have to fight out who got the better deal.
