So, after an uncomfortable, cold and long overnight flight, Charlie and I landed in Bangkok, Sunday afternoon, 3.30pm local time, to be welcomed by 35 degree heat and high humidity!
Without a place to stay, we passed through immigration to grab a taxi outside the airport. Asking for the center of Bangkok to find a hotel turned out to be the start of a rather lucky course of events.
A taxi took us to the Bangkok Central shopping center. Attached on the side is a hotel charging 250 pounds a night which was a bit steep. We swiftly exited the hotel and walked down the street with both our backpacks to be chased down by a man in a Tuk Tuk. Adul (the driver) turned out to be the best bit of luck so far on this trip. His knowledge of the city helped us sort everything out!
He asked where we were staying and we replied that we had not booked anywhere! Ok! he said and off we went to a travel agency.
Finally, we went into a building with air conditioning to be greeted by Sue. Sue is brilliant! She has booked all of our stay around Thailand. 600 pounds for me and 400 pounds for Charlie!
For this we get....
Stay in Bangkok for 3 nights, visit the tiger temple, the waterfalls and stay overnight on a raft 3 hours west of Bangkok in Kanchanaburi, jump on the overnight bus to Chiang Mai, 5 nights in Chaing Mai, Trekking through the jungle for 2 days and 1 night and bamboo rafting outside of Chaing Mai. Get the overnight bus back to Bangkok and then on to the south western Thai islands of Ko Tao, Ko Phangan and Ko Samui. We have 5 nights in Ko Tao, 5 nights in Ko Phangang and 5 in Ko Samui. I will get my open water PADI at Ko Tao. We will be in Ko Phangang for a fullmoon party!
We then travel across to Phuket an Phi Phi on the other side of southern Thailand. My price was higher as I was doing my PADI.
All this included food and accommodation!
Bargain I think!

Travels
Hey guys! I am literelly soooo jealous right now, I also went to one of these travel guys and did exactly the same trip to kanchanaburi and it was amazing! :) Just to warn you tho, do not trust all tuktuk drivers!! they are very good at scamming~! we luckilly had one good one like you did, but then all the others we got in after that were a nightmare! if they want to take you to a tailors say NO! Sounds like you have your accomm for koh phangnan sorted but if you dont then you should totally stay at Amaresa resort! total paradise and its clos to the full moon but up a lil hill so you wont get any of the trouble that goes on! Make sure you are really carefull with your belongings, we met so many people who had their passports, valubles etc stolen and rooms broken into etc. but other than that Full moon party was amazing!!!! (watch out for the red bull...espesh you charlie...it is full of speed!!) Look forwards to hearing more about your trip! Have an amaze time, im sooo jel! :) Helen xx
