it's only been one week since i've left the usa! it seems like so much longer, but i seriously love it here. i'm really happy to be learning italtian finally. i keep almost speaking in german all the time haha i guess i don't have to worry about forgetting it. i'm addicted to the gelatto! i had fragola (strawberry) e fondente (dark chocolate) today. tomorrow i'm going to a vineyard in chianti, tuscany!

we went to a museum today, the uffizi gallery. i saw a bunch of famous paintings, the ones i recognized mostly were the birth of venus and spring. it was really long and we were all sooo tired but it was cool.

they don't really use condiments here it's weird. last night they made us bacon burgers (i guess to try and ease the culture shock?) but they literally just gave us burger pattys and bacon haha, ketchup would have been nice! i'm trying to think of other things that are different but i can't think of any at the moment, there was one other thing i wanted to tell you guys. anyway, i'm slightly worried about the money situation so i'm going to stop buying so much gelatto until i figure out my expenditures haha. but i decided my florence souveniers for myself will be something leather (purse, boots, or jacket), some type of nonexpensive jewlery, and a dvd in italiano.

i got my class schedule today for rome: italiano, history of italian cinema, rome through the ages, and history of italian mafia. eee now to buy books! i'm excited for all my classes though.

i'm having a really amazing time and i still cannot believe how beautiful everything is here! i don't know how to post pictures on here but i'm trying to figure it out. now for some wine and studying!! ciao!

I vote you put up like a paypal account or something... maybe blog another a few times and ask people for money... that's just what I think.
