Here we are in the capital of Canada. Our first impressions were somewhat doubtful - room a bit of a come-down, directions for where to go for dinner were quite confusing (for us). We went to a place - well, best not to give you the details - not great though. Picked up some yoghurt & cookies afterwards to make up for it. Ate them on Parliament Hill then sat on the grass and waited for the sound and light show. We didn't know what to expect, but the wait was well worthwhile. The whole building was bombarded with a coloured light show of such high tech we were blown away. At the end they played O Canada, I sure felt like standing and singing out loud. I didn't, I'm sure Ron was grateful that I managed to control myself. Today we took a bus tour around the capital - an ex-kiwi from Gisborne did a wonderful job. He had all kinds of local trivia and historical info plus a good sense of humour (not over-the-top). We then went to see the Lion King. WOW! Then we went to a local market for dinner - great seafood meal - both very happy! Off to bed (after the soak of course). Oh, just remembered - we had a Beaver Tail at the By Market (pastry cooked with apple & cinnamon and doused in maple syrup) - apparently Barak Obama did a walk-about much to the consternation of his minders, just to buy and eat one of these when he visited this market. It was delicious!
Our love to you all.

Fall
Had a wonderful week in Auckland but the day after I got home as I was bringing in the washing I over balanced and hit my head on the wall in the carport. Ended in hospital for 4 days Still not feeling quite right but it has made me think through what I can and can not do now.Love Joy
