Well, after our first full in Sydney, we have made two observations. Number 1: It is very very expensive, most things are two to three times more expensive than the UK. Some examples would be a pack of biscuits costing £4.00, a bowl of cereal costing £3.50, a bottle of listerine costing £8.00 and best of all, I bet you all thought Aldi was the cheapest shop around, well 4 bananas turned out to cost £8.00. Number 2: All the convenience stores seem to be run by the same people who run the corner shops in England, say no more.

This morning we got the bus to Bondi beach. The weather was lovely, very sunny and warm. We saw lots of surfers and had a paddle in the sea. We accidently found another mcdonalds this morning so we went in for our breakfast. We then went to the pylon lookout on Sydney harbour bridge where we had amazing views over the harbour and of the Opera house. Afterwards, we went to Manley on the ferry where our lunch turned out to be the price of a 5* star restaurant!! However it was lovely! We then came back and got the ferry to Darling harbour. We had a great meal - steak and chips, and also a few drinks which were all very nice.

Oh and just to add, there is a new member of the family with us on our travels now. His name is Bruce and he is a koala bear! I'm sure he will be appearing on a few of our pics so you will be able to see his beautiful face some time soon. Off to Gold Coast tomorrow morning!!
