Our day began how a traveller's day should begin - waking up early to catch a flight! We're lucky it wasn't as early as the first one. It was hard to say good bye to Rob and the family and also the south of Thailand. We feel very confident to travel by ourselves now, due to Rob and Paeng's help.
When we had landed everyone at the airport was eager to help and pointed us towards a taxi rank where we reached our guest house reccomended to us by a friends of Rob's (Candy) after checking in and collecting our thoughts we then went to the seven fountains college to meet Father Vinai, someone who works with an ex colleague of Rob's and who helps disadvantaged students with their English. He introduced us to someone called Nid who will be at the college as he is going on a retreat tomorrow. She was lovely and immediately invited us to her house on the weekend and to eat out with her and her friends, we had to politely decline as we had prior dinner arrangements with Rob's good friend Candy.
Candy picked us up and took us to a Vietnamese restaurant, where it seemed pork was the only thing on the menu! The food was really good, our eyes were bigger than our bellies, but the whole meal came to nine pounds for all three of us! We're currently in love with Chang Mai, as it's rich with tourists and bars (don't worry parents, we will be sensible). Candy surprised us by ringing a radio station and making us speak and pick a song, so we picked The Beatles - Yellow Submarine, reminding us of England!
Love to you all x
