Space!
I really feel spoilt! What bratz! Wow, the second flight..of 14 hours was a very long flight! Our seats made it very enjoyable and it felt like a little holiday before our holiday..But there was only so much I could eat and so many movies I could watch untill my legs became restless and I was longing for solid ground!
We hit really bad turbulance just before land as we were descending through the clouds..and I'm not just saying this because I absolutely HATE turbulance, but there were medics waiting on the ground waiting for our flight..there was a medical emergency on board, I don't know exactly what happened but I do know it was very scary and I was bracing myself with feet and arms up against the seat in front and next to me, so anyone with a heart or nervous condition were going to struggle through that shaking and dropping! We later found out that Toronto had that same day suffered the worst windy conditions in something like 20 years!! No wonder the airports were crazy and our flight delayed! All of the above made our arrival a little late and we had minutes to claim our baggage, check in and run to
the boarding gate..Obviously there were ques miles long everywhere and our literally running from point to point did not help us and the customs/immigration official obviously thought we looked a bit dodgy with our bloodshot airplane eyes and stressed out faces and so sent us for further questioning at immigration..waste waste waste of time people!!!! We tried explaining to ground staff that we had our own little emergency going on and had to get to our flight asap, but it was like "speaking to a brick wall", there was just no compassion or willingness to listen from anyone, what was up with these Canadians?? Not cool!! So after many wrong directions we missed our flight but managed to let Aunty Jenni know that we were going to be late, how late? like 26 hours late and the next available flight would only be the next day at 8:30pm!! So we managed to buy tickets on a different airline and arrived only 4 hours late, but after midninght! Poor Uncle Dave and Aunty Jenni patiently waited for us and greeted us with big hugs and smiles!
It was very cold when we stepped outside the airport and Thursday morning we
had a very nice surprise...SNOW!!!!!! yaya!!! it was snowing and it covered everything in a beautiful pure white blanket, it was so special! Uncle Dave had no worries driving in the snow and his amazing assistant was on the ball with navigating us through town. We didn't have much to do today, just have to get a few supplies before we head off to the Rockies tomorrow (which has a severe snow warning for tomorrow!), so we sawa couple of Malls and I went into my first Wallmart!!! Cool!
Back at the hotel it was time to do some washing so Jason, Tamsin and I decided to hit the gym while I was waiting for the washing machine to do it's thing.. We arent that tired, I was expecting it to be much worse..just feel a little spaced out and foggy..no no that's not default for me!!
So Uncle Dave and Aunty Jenni have just left to fetch Marc at the airport, he had similar problems to ours but atleast he is also only delayed by a few hours...
Tomorrow we head for The Rockies, Banff and Jasper..so we will be in the snowy mountains with the
Looking fresh and happy
catching the tram to terminal 3 for our new flight. We were SO tired at this point grizzly bears!!!!
Will keep you posted!!!

Jealous, jealous, jealous!!
Oops, think I sent just the title by mistake!! Let's try again :) I know jealousy is a terrible trait, but really, I just can't help it!!!! It looks so cool. Sipping Iced Coffee's literally in the snow! I'm sure it was Jason who looked suspect at immigrations. Ha, ha! Definitely not the women! Shame, man. What an ordeal. Told Tamsin that Old Whitey would have been on valiums by that time. Seems Mozambique was small fry in comparison! Look forward to "travelling" with you, via your blog. Love to all and enjoy.
