Ferry RideFerry RideFerry Ride

Sexy wind-blown look
Arrived last night in Santorini after taking the milk-run ferry that stopped at almost all of the islands between Tinos and Santorini (even the ones with tiny ports... I've seen more boats in a kid's bathtub than in some of those places) it was great weather though and we saw the sunset from the water. Today we're going to check out some of the villages and try to get to Ancient Thira, there are some ancient Egyptian things there I would love to see. The view from our hotel is magical, bright blue waters and white houses, little lounge chairs and the buildings trickling down the cliffsides. Leslie and I are going to look into doing a tour to get up close and personal with the dormant volcanoes. Who remembers Dante's Peak?

Oh btw this has been bugging me, what's the name of that comedy movie about the guys in a submarine? They're really all pranksters and sing the "Louie Louie" song, and pretend to be drunk fishermen so they don't get caught...
I wasn't just singing that on the ferry (though we did have a Mythos beer... which are quite good) there was also some Phantom of the Opera

They really look like this, so charming.
music of the night feelings. Tonight I'm going out dancing, we are in Thira, in a prime location for going out. Even last night by the little restaurant there was a lot going on, so I"m pretty excited. Even had a guy named Nikolas tell Leslie (thinking she's my mom) that I am very beautiful, haha. Way to pick up through the mom, guy.

Oh and Mandie no worries, not everything is shown to the public on here, and I am flying into Toronto on the 28th. I miss everyone but I am having a great time. My own journal is currently coming apart at the seams, and it has more details cuz I usually write in it when I have more time (like on a 12 hour ferry ride). One day!

Most of the churches have blue tops, but the ones that don't are exciting to see, yay for being unique!

Das Boot?
No, wait, wrong submarine movie. I think you're thinking of McHale's Navy, though.

Cruizin'
Ahh Andrea, the best way to see the Greek islands is on a cruise ship/ er...ferry. It's the poor person's cruise. Just think about all those rich people paying mega bucks to cruise all the islands that you just went to! You certainly are getting lots accomplished. I've read that Greek men are very complimentary...remember the movie "Shirley Valentine"!Lots of love, Mom

Stayin'?
Hey Andrea, My friend was just telling me that years ago a friend of hers went to Greece for 2 weeks and stayed...for 2 months. I was wondering if you are planning the same thing...did you find a villa for us? Let me know if I should book my flight. Love, Mom
