I have finally gotten a chance to use a computer so i can write to you all!

The plane trip was ok. I slept a bit on the first leg. Tried to watch Narnia but fell asleep so i only watch Life as We Know It. On the second flight i slept for two hours while we were sitting on the plane at kl airport! Then i was able to watch Harry Potter and Tangled. Only ended up having 20 mins at Dubai airport cause of the delays. Last flight was horrible. Had these screaming kids next to me and i didnt sleep at all. Didnt really want to watch any movies so just listened to music. was extremely glad to get here!

Taking to tube was really easy from heathrow. Uncle Pete was there waiting for me at the tube station, then we took a black cab to his house.

Didnt really do a whole lot the first couple of days. I didnt feel tired but i did feel off. Slept really well which was good.

Pete's house is lovely. Its over 120 years old. There are 5 levels. 1st level is the basement and kitchen. 2nd level is the hallway and entrance plus the living room. 3rd is the bathroom (with only a bath!) and Olivers room. 4th is the main bedroom and Eme's room. and 5th level is the attic/my room. there is 41 stairs from the kitchen to my room, which i climb about 6 times a day! I have taken photos.

Lisa and I went went into Hampstead on Friday. It is apparently the richest suburb in London, and its a 5 mins walk from there house. All the big celebrities live there, didnt see any but!

Finally started my sight seeing on Monday. I thought i would take to bus into waterloo and walk along the thames to the tower of london. All best plans never work! It took 2 hours to get halfway there (normally takes 15 mins) and then the bus terminated cause of road works. So instead of taking another bus i thought i would walk. Not the best idea i have had. Took another hour and half to make it to the tower of london. Still had time to look around which was good but didnt have time to do anything else because it was dark. Even though the bus took ages I was able to see some sights along the way. We drove past Abby Road Studios and the famous crossing. There were heaps of people taking photos and there is actually a message board there which gets painted every couple of months. Then we drove past Lords Cricket ground. Didnt see alot of Lords but can say i drove past it! The tower of London was really good. The crown jewels are pretty amazing. Worth a look.

I got up early on tuesday and made my way to Buckingham palace to see the changing of the guards. However during spring this only happens every other day....and yes i was there on an other day so i didnt see that! Went to Harrods instead and did a little bit of shopping. Was going to go to the British Museum but decided to go to Madame Tussauds instead. That was really good, but there was heaps of people in there and you couldnt really take the time to see all that waxworks properly.

After that i went and got a few things for my tour and came back home. Last night i sat down with Pete to watch my first football match. Actually wasnt too bad.

The weather has been nice. The first couple of days were freezing and i mean we had a max of 2 degrees on my first day. But then the sun came out and its been nice. Still cold but making it into double figures at least! I have got a it of a cold but hopefully that wont hang around too long.

Today Lisa and I took Oliver to music class. It was so cute. And now im packing up my things and am going to make my way to the hostel.

The tour starts tomorrow. Am looking forward to meeting new people and leaving London. I really like London but have seen it before. Cant wait to go and see new places.

Will write again from a different location!

Hi Bec Glad too see you made it to cold London. Your holiday sounds like that you are having fun already. All the places that you have gone to just makes me what to go there, as in the crown jewels etc. The house sounds huge, if you look at it this way climbing all those stairs means that you don't have to go to the gym on your holidays!! I know when you read this email you are no your bus tour. I have got updates from mum, so at this moment you are in the bar and you have no one speaking english to you. That is half the fun when you are on holidays learning another language. Anyway you have a lovely time and can't wait to hear from you again and enjoy the bus tour. Melissa
