Took the train from Breda to Den Haag where I changed for Zoetermeer, passing so many murals and elaborate, colourful grafitti, noticing the change in landscape and buildings from each city. Met Kathelijna and her mum on the platform, as her dad rushed passed to catch the train I had just stepped off! First of all they drove me to see the newly built Steiner school which I attended before we moved to England, what a beautiful building! Then we went home for lunch and I ate so much bread, whilst Christian was still lying in bed till 4pm! Kathelijna and I cycled to Boederijgeertje to see the first of the baby farm animals which were not yet born. So we cycled to the center through the cold wind and parked our bikes to walk further through the market to the chic shops of Zoetermeer where we had some tea and a cake on mum's birthday! Back home we tracked down my childhood sweetheart who I remember from kindergarten, but perhaps not such a sweetheart anymore? Then we made pizza and ate so much before I caught the train back home. This was a whole new adventure as my second train from Den Haag stopped in Rotterdam where I had to go to Utrecht and then to den Bosch to finally arrive a couple hours later in Breda! So either my expsensive fair was worth it or I should have asked my money back... All in all I spent a wonderful day with the Dijkstra family who I have known all my life.
