Train trip home from Sapa with some of the new purchases
Nha Trang is the Gold coast of Vietnam (well sort of), a beach resort town with magnificant beaches clear water, and massages pedicures and anything else you like on the beach.(I think Jane and Emma have ideas of spending one of the days in Nha Trang being massaged and generally pampered)

Good trip from Hoi An to Nha Trang I dont know if jane was impressed the plane a small twin engine job, mind you she kept her head buried in the lonley Planet most of the way took her mind off the flight.

Apparently you used to land at Nha Trang now the airport is approx 35km from town, mind you they have built the best road in vietnam from the airport to Nha Trang two lanes and no traffic it appears as though the road is only servicing the airport, the drive was great vietnams version of the great ocean road. The amount of development in and around all the coastal resorts is beyond believe I think they have realised the potential of tourism and the economic benefit it can bring.

We have two rooms at the Seaview Hotel (can't see the sea), $12 each US

Emma, where do I run to?
per night, seems a little expensive to what we have been used to, but we are happy there, just finished tea bloody seafood again !.

Talk about seafood as we were walking along the foreshore of Nha Trang a sidewalk vendor had one of there numerous pots cooking up something, Jane and I couldnt believe what was in the pot it was like a seafood lovers paradise there steaming on the footpath, scallops, prawns, crays, clams all for sale all freshly cooked and all cheap.

Jane has booked a one day trip out to the Islands around Nha trang for tommorow, US $6 each this includes lunch and snorkelling equipment so a good deal all up.

The kids are proving to be great travellers, Sam carting the huge suitcase on wheels, Emma a backpack and her Louis Vuitonn ? bag. Will keep you informed regards the TICK's.

Have put some photos on but again having trouble with the computer unsure if you will see any images.

Happy Birthday Adam
All wishing you a happy birthday - maybe you can lash out and (for a change) have some seafood for your birthday dinner - it sounds like you just cant get enough of it! Ned's looking forward to the thingamejig that Sam said he had for him. It sounds like such a great time that we're presently reassessing our Nepal plans for next year (particularly if the political situation there doesn't improve) and maybe redirect the plane to Vietnam. Make sure Adam wears his new suit to his birthday dinner - I can't imagine him getting to wear it anywhere else!
