Been in bangkok since tuesday night now and so far its been insane. Havent really slept much as Ko San road is like a backpacking mecca and theres so much stuff to do. Meeting people is ridiculously easy and ive already got a bit of a reputation for meeting people as ive meet like at least 10 and already organised to travel down to the full moon party with some people. The tuk-tuks are by far the most fun way to get around and dirt cheap, if you get a fun one then he'll pull wheelies and race other drivers. But after the trops trops in ghana no form of travel seems to scare me at the moment.
The temples and palace in bangkok are all really impressive but i still think that some of them have way too many buddhas! Wat Po literally has about 10 rooms just full of them all in the same position but slightly different, along with the reclining buddha that is huge. Everything that ive heard about the street food is pretty much true so far, as its so good and everywhere u go. So far roasted duck with rice and pak choi from this old lady is winning but im sure we cna top that somewhere. It would help if the girls werent so fussy, as Tash wont eat sauce on anything and doesnt like noodles so we gave up and me and jordan just got food and left tash and michelle to find their own. Other things that have to be done whilst in thailand including ping pong show have been done and i think im slightly scared as a result of it. Once you've seen a tiny thai girl pull a 10metre long piece a string with razor blades attached to it out of here lady parts then i can honestly say i never want to go again! The lady boys are also everywhere and some arent even subtle whereas some provide a good game of guy or girl? One was literally built like a brick shithouse but in a dress!
so yeah thailand has been really fun so far and Im going to stay in bangkok till monday then head down to the islands for just over a week.
