We"ve Made It!

Hi everyone!

Well, we made it to Bangkok via a very smooth flight. But we were exhausted and slept most of the day today. So far so good, all those tips that were given to us are making sense. Our hotel is slap bang in the middle of Khason Rd, opposite Boots and not far from Starbucks and Burger King LOL (i should not of given my vouchers away before i left Bristol) home away from home.
However, we've been good and steered clear from all that and have tucked right in to street food, tonight my dinner of thai green curry and a drink was less that a pound! I have made my first purchase of some three quarter length trousers and negotiated a good price (thanks Miss Wong for your guidance LOL).
Tomorrow we plan to check out the Grand Palace and reclining Buddha, before getting an over night train to Chaing Mai, which is Northern Thailand, where things should be more authentic and even cheaper!!!
It's still hard to believe we are here but, it seems to have been an easy transition into a travellers life style. Perhaps now i will go and have a foot massage..............it's a hard life : )
