Hi dear friends

Well we have arrived and have settled into it very quickly. A small problem arriving. Our flight from Heathrow was delayed by about 30 mins due to the cabin crew held up by traffic - I wouldn't mind but we got up a 5am and made it. Don't they know about London traffic!!! On arrival in Singapore an airline official met us and told us to hurry for the flight to Siem Reap. We ran a bit then were ushered into a buggy when the officer put his foot down and drove like a maniac through the airport (probably only about 15 miles an hour). Managed to make the plane minus luggage!! Thankfully it arrived the next afternoon but in the meantime had to borrow some lime green pantaloons with a pink T shirt - lovely. We then went to Grace House and the children were very excited to see us despite my clothes. I will be working with the pre school kids so well happy. Bob doesn't know where he will be working yet.

Last night went into Pub Street and ate at the Soup Kitchen with a couple that we met last year. On leaving saw our Tuk Tuk man who ferried us home at night last year. Only drove a few yards down the road when the bike stopped and he ran off - he had run out of petrol and went to get a litre in a plastic bottle. Today we rejoined our lovely 5 star hotel and spent the day by the pool. We cycled there which was a bit scary as I have to get my confidence back again. Although they drive fairly slowly they are a bit erratic - driving on either side of the road which confuses me and I have sudden lapses of cycling on the wrong side.

Going up to our room now for a shower, hair wash and out again to Pub Street - such a great name.
