crossing the border into vietnam takes about 40 mins from kep ,
these border crossing remind me of an old cowboy town with the red dust dirttrack and the casinos and bars and just the atmosphere , after walking over no mans land we get on the back of a motobike each and off we go to hat yai
this small town is very quite however we do manage to get somehow involved in a wedding party on the street outside our hotel dancing with the ladyboys
we spend xmas on the phu quoc islands on the beach and swimming in the sea.
onward to the mekon delta and life on the river, a very dirty looking river where everything revolves around it , and i do mean everything, people washing , lots of industry, washing clothes markets that sell just about anything , everything is floating even the petrol stations
i have been dreading going to saigon as the traffic and pollution are pretty major here
we get off the bus and hey this place is crazy motobikes are king here, on to the back of a bike to find our hotel and bernie shuts her eyes and counts to 200 definetly a white knuckle ride
but how do we cross the road
hand in hand we venture accross the 4 lane 20 motorcyle wide road very scary we were stranded in the middle and bernie lifted her arm and started waving ( a bit of advice we got ) we managed to make it we got used to it and it wasnt that bad until new years eve totall gridlock man
we are now back in cambodia where we are waiting for a thai visa they say it could take 4 working days i hope not as we are in a phnom pehn and we dont want to be here really
when we sort out our visa we go to kep to a school where we will hopefully helping for a bit and then who knows what next
