hello there

kanchaburi is where we visited the bridge over the kwai river very nice place the bridge is smaller than i imagined but it was a very moving place with a tragic past
onward to cambodia we was in no mans land looking at cambodia not knowing what to expect it looked a bit loke stepping backwards with people pushing massive carts over the border into thailand however this place is more advanced than thailand the people speak very good english and the infastructure is ok good roads etc
did the temples at siam reap a bit like a setting from indiana jones this is where tomb raider was filmed so we follow in the steps of angelina jolie
phnom phem we were there at the time of the water festival disaster we left about 9pm and the place was absolutely overcrowded about 11pm nearly 400 people lost their loves after the festival finished in the mad rush to return home
the killing fields and the war museum not a nice place at all too much has gone on here in recent history its hard to take in
onward to the south coast beaches ,first stopping off at kampot now this place looked as pol pot himself had just paid a visit the place was so quiet and a lot of the buildings looked as though they had just been bombed you can just imagine the khymer rouge in their jeeps trundling into town

what a find . otres beach is a paradise no hassle so laid back everything you could ask for
blssssss
so now we have 4 days left on visa wich takes us to 16 december and its vietnam
take care jez and berni

cambodia is a really nice place the people here have moved on so much in such a short time i have a lot of respect for these people and i could write about this country and the people for aa long time

Happy Xmas
Hi Berni & Jez, Cambodia looks great, especially as it's freezing here; with the wind howling outside and snow and ice on the ground. Apart from that all's well here, Debbie and crew have arrived, Eamonn & Shiela have at last made it back from Barbados and hopefully will get to Ireland for Xmas. I'm sure come the day you guys will be sitting on a beach in the warm sun thinking of us (every now and then!) and eating Turkey and all the trimmings - just remember the Queens on at 3.00. Have a great time over the Xmas and New Year. Love J&F.
