(P) We are here, in the amazing Bangkok, but what a journey it was getting here. 24 hours travelling, no showers a little shit toothbrush and plenty of meals later.

We boarded our first flight, London to Doha (Qatar) and got off to a great start when the realisation of free food, drink and basically anything we wanted :o).

(L) Well apart from my mini bitch strop (I know its hard to believe isnt it.. me??) Luckily the person who was supposed to be sat between us didnt turn up so we had a little extra place. I figured Id eat and drink loads to the point of passing out.. lets just say it didnt exactly work out like that. We got zero sleep and was slightly irate upon arrival in Doha The highlight was definitely the 'refreshing wipes'.. I had to talk paul down from his proposition of standing on his chair with his pants down exclaiming 'REFRESH THIS!' (P) Sorry Mum hehe.

(L) They really were needed when Paul decided to have a sleep spasm and boot a glass of red wine all over us, yup wasnt impressed! (Dry Cleaning Bill to follow..)

The next plane was smaller and the staff a little less unattentive. We were running late and they decided to do a full circle of the runway before taking us to the airport making us check in AGAIN and reboard the next plane.. nackard isnt the word. There was however a lovely girl named Charlene sat with us who was on her way to join a random group holiday, im hoping we'll see her again at the full moon party. The food was great and we even managed a little shut eye but still super cranky and in great need of a shower and bed!

Bangkok Airport was pretty big and I was slighty shocked. We had to wunder around a little and had a few problems trying to find out how to get to our Hotel 'The Grand Convenient Hotel' .. which lets just say isnt exactly convenient.. But is really nice and even has a christmas tree!! I love the tiny gekos climbing all over the walls, we even named one 'Lenny' but i hate all the mosquitos and have to be really careful as we havent taken the malaria tablets (no rants please - we were advised it wasnt a must by the doc ok) but the spray tastes and smells like ass!!! They also do full thai massages for like 6 quid so will defo be investing in getting rid of my backpackers aches and pains!!

(P) Got to the hotel, after a 4/5 mile crazy Bangkok street race in a Shuttle Mini Van, Which we won vs Motorcycle (with 2 adults and 2 kids) navigating. Chucked the bags in and showered, what a difference a little warm water makes :o)

Took our laundrey (two tracksuits and a tshirt) which I stained through with red wine and it only costs 4 quid washed, dryed and ironed, wish I have only brought 1 change of clothes haha.

Just got back for our dinner. Were the food was gorgeous.... Spring rolls and Crispy Wonton (with some spicy sauce, which I am going to get Lauren to steal before we leave tommorow. Followed by Pad Thai with Chciken (Noodles and thai stuff with chicken) I thought was good, Lauren didn't think so, I'll be eating alot of it i immagine !!!! Thai Green Curry with strips of beef and vegetvale fried rice. I loved the food on Qatar Airlines, but I love the food here more already, and with 3 bottles of Chang (640ml @ 6.4%) only came to 11 quid too. Can't wait for tomorrows meals and drinks hehe.

Were gonna now head of into the night into Bangkok, with no idea were we are going. We need batteries for the iPod speaker (as i left the recharging wire at home) so we'll be looking for a 7/11 which apparently are everywhere and open 24 hours, then its bedtime, see if we can get away from this horrible jet lag!!!

Off to Khao San Road tommorow, as our plans have slightly changed from going to Chang Mai (We'll be doing this nearer the end of our journey) Backpackers Paradise here we come. (Lauren no complaining about the weight of your rucksack!) haha.

Adios Amigos!
