Day 6
After a hot and steamy night (weather that is,) it was still raining when we descended the old stone stairs to breakfast. To start we were the only ones partaking of the choice of delights but were then joined by folk who got up even later than us. We left 'Auntie Yvonne's' in the rain and having decided we were not yet wet enough, we stopped in St Peray to have lunch and searched for a suitable eating spot out of the downpour. On the way we stopped to try out the Croze Hermitage and after an unnecessary diversion we hit upon an up market 'cave', making suitable purchases to mark the tasting.
After lunch we continued south in the search of dry weather and after passing through, slowly, both Montelimar (singing appropriate Beatles song) and Orange we found dry weather and eventually Castel Mouisson in the heart of Val de Provence. Two drinks later and and a prohibited picnic we reflected upon our day's adventures.

More wine???
So far it sounds amazing, however I have one question... Have you managed to drive past a vineyard yet? It seems that you are compelled to visit every one from Calais to Beaune! Did you like the coloured roofs? xx
