Hi there!
Another busy day in NYC! We’ve only got one more day here - that’s a little sad : (
We started the day by catching the subway to Time Square and picking up tickets to see the matinee session of West Side Story. We took Greg’s advice and went to the ticket booth in Time Square and yep, 2 tickets for the price of 1 - sweet. Not bad seats either - Row D on the mezzanine.

We jumped back on the subway & headed to the pier and to catch the Staten ferry over to Staten Island and back (we saw the statue of liberty), then we had a stroll around Battery Park.

We headed back to Time Square (probably our least favourite place so far) and had lunch at Bubba Gumps Shrimp restaurant. Yes, I know it is a touristy place and a place we would usually avoid and yes, it was over priced and average. But anyway, we then headed to The Palace on Broadway to see West Side Story. We both thought it was great. I had never seen a musical and was completely drawn in by it. With so many choices of shows to see, I can imagine some people see one show a day for their whole New York stay. The theatre was beautiful too!

After the show, we headed on to 34th street for some shopping. Matt may have teased me previously about Macy’s - well, you should have seen his little face light up by the variety and choice of men’s clothes!
We thought of Holly & Dylan too - the shops you guys like are massive here and have absolutely everything in their range - make sure you bring a big suitcase.

We just stopped in at the little pub on 45th street and had a drink and a late dinner.
I’m going to go now and unpack my new things and rest my very very tired feet.

As Emma said we caught the ferry and it had great views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Governers and Liberty Island and the best bit was it is free and runs every half hour 24/7. Battery Park is a cool spot for people watching.

From there we went to Time Square and saw a show, I enjoyed much more than I thought I would LOL. Geeze Time Square is busy toristy hell, over priced everything, not my thing anyway. Was looking at some mini tripods at a camera shop, priced up 2 different ones $69 and $89, both seemed average for the bucks so I left it. Got to Macy’s a couple of blocks away and guess what I found the same two tripods, same brand $7.99 and $9.99, what a joke. Glad I hadn’t got one, would be spewing.

Anyway having a ball, will be sad to move on, but DC beakons. Hope everyone at home is well, we miss you all.
