Having been to Thailand before, we wanted to explore parts that we hadn't seen. We had also missed out on the main sights in Bangkok the first time round so this is where we started. The three big ones are The Imperial Palace, The Temple of the Reclining Buddha and The Temple of the Emerald Buddha. We also took some time to wonder the mad Chatuchak Market where many a bargain can be found.

Although we had a number of options including a few days in either Vietnam or Laos, we decided that we wouldn't be able to do these places justice in the time available, and we were also begining to feel run down. We therefore opted to spend more time in Thailand and as we had allready seen some of the southern Islands, and central region, we thought we would try going north to Chiang Mai. We also thought it would be nice to combine this with some spiritual relaxation and booked into a health retreat.

It turned out to be quite full on and when we checked in they actually took a sample of our blood and analysed it. This was the first time we had ever checked into a hotel and had some blood taken from us (apart from the Vampire fetish seminar in Holland but that's another story).

This turned out to be an excellent choice as the change of diet and daily yoga helped us to unwind and rejuvinate...now we are fully recharged and ready for India!

One thing that I wanna mention is the name of the palace. It's actually Grand Palace not Imperial Palace. ^_^
