Getting Here

So I left home at 9:30am on Friday morning, 1 hour drive to Moline, flight leaves at 11:30, 50 minutes in the air to Chicago. Not a terrible flight except for getting kicked in the FACE by a 2 year old as his mom was holding him and walking down the aisle to their seat. 5 hour layover in Chicago= plenty of time to eat a burger at Chilis, get my money changed into Euros (which is a huge ripoff to do at the airport. I got 130 euros for 200 dollars) wait in international security for an hour, and sit at the gate for 3 more hours waiting. Flight left at 5:30 or 6 and 8 and a half hours later I was finally in Europe (Warsaw, Poland). Customs was a breeze, got a new stamp in my passport, went through security again, and found a bathroom to shower in and freshen up. Left Warsaw for Athens 30 mins after cleaning up, flight was delayed 1 hour for airplane problems, and 3 hours of flying later I WAS FINALLY HERE. I landed at 3:30pm local time or 7:30am Iowa time. Completely exhausted and hungry. Took 2 trains to get to Corinth about 2 hours later and was picked up by Peter (the guy in charge of this school) along with Jessica (a student at this school too) who was on my train. Took plenty of time unpacking, met with Rachel (another roommate), all 3 of us girls walked a couple minutes into town and bought groceries (cereal, milk, eggs, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, a beach mat, apples, etc.). Around 9 we walked 2 mins back into town and got dinner. Souvlaki is like shishkabob chicken meat, steak cut french fries, grilled tomatoes, onions, and special sauce all wrapped in a pita. IT WAS AMAZINGGGGGGGGG. Then another roommate showed up (Stavros). They all seem normal enough. I think we'll all get along. Going to the beach tomorrow!!!!!!!!
