What a year......

On this glorious day, in what has been a fantastic year 2010 (so far), which has been the best year 2010 which we have ever witnessed, I thought I would share the musings of a 22 year old jobseeker! Me and Fay have been home just over a month, and whilst adjusting to life post travelling has been very difficult, and very frustrating at times, things have by no means been as bad as we have expected.

After a four month trip in which the two of us frequently rued the day we would be travelling home to Braintree, and even more frequently lamented the country we would be going home to, commonly labelling the place as boring and rubbish - and even some slightly less savory words which i wont repeat, our lives are far less mundane and rubbish then we actually let ourselves believe.

Miss Winning, for example, has a job which she loves so much it forms an important part of many conversations! And whilst my job isn't the dream job, I am thankful to Hayley and Martin for helping me keep it!! We both have great families, who were very happy to see us arrive home! We lived through the best British winter of our lives this year, and now seem to be heading for one of the best summers! (TOUCH WOOD!). We have some great friends, which were also pleased to see us arrive home safely....... As were we also pleased to see our new friends, Cat and Phil, arrive home safely and have already begun their new lives in England together!

And events, we've got a few!..... We are both, very soon, along with Scott and Lisa about to be entrusted with being Carter's godparents, an honour with we are both very proud of! We endervour to be the best role models that we can! I have also been entrusted as Best Man, for one of my best role models Wedding in October..... Now I have to find out some embarrasing stories for a man who revels in embarrasing me!

And Most importantly WE HAVE EACH OTHER! I Love you Miss Winning, and I am ever so excited about what ever life will throw at us!!

Whilst we haven't got that dream home, and i haven't got that dream job, we will enjoy the ride that finally takes us to that promised land, The GLASS Certainly is THREE QUARTERS FULL!

May I will fellow jobseekers Cat and Phil the best of Luck, it was great to see you yesterday! It was jolly good fun beating you at bowling yesterday, we must do it again sometime!!

And a very hard earned Congratulations to Shelia for achieving a 2:1 in her degree!!

Love Chris
