Staunton VA - KOAStaunton VA - KOAStaunton VA - KOA

Our view for the evening.
We're in Levis, Quebec - just across the St. Lawrence river from Quebec City.

After leaving North Carolina, we stopped in KOA RV parks in Staunton, VA and just outside of Allentown, PA. Both of these beautifully maintained parks were in lovely bucolic settings.

On Friday June 25th we took the RV to the Maine coast for a 10-day stay at another lovely campground overlooking the ocean - just a few miles from downtown Bar Harbor - very pretty - very tourista.

Having my motorcycle while traveling is always fun. Barbara and I took the bike to Acadia National Park for the 27 mile loop ride with it's magnificent views, breezes and cool temperatures - that is - cool until last Saturday when we - like everyone else on the east coast - felt the effects of high temps and humidity. The highlight of the Loop Road is the top of Cadillac mountain - highest point on the east coast; seeing the sunrise before the rest of the country. I also solo'd a couple of days with bike rides along the coast and the Schoodic Peninsula. Cut and paste this address into your address box:

Treats for Barbara: Mom, Marj and brother Lonnie, Seth and Kristine and Sara and Gabe and the lovely Maya all visiting for the July 4th holiday, capped off by a delicious family BBQ.

Other treats: Picnic boat trips, lotsa lobstahs, strolling Thuya Gardens and, of course - popovers at Jordan Pond.

This past Sunday we headed to Jackman, ME and the Moose River Campground for a couple of days of whitewater rafting before heading to our present digs in Levis.

Take a look at our pictures; they're worth the thousand + more words.

More to come . . .
