We had to be quick. The instructor of the Latin dance class was an extremely energetic and fit Costa Rican guy named Luis who spoke only Spanish to us. We had heard that he also teaches the afternoon Zumba (aerobic exercise based on Latin dance rhythms) class, but ours was just a basic dance class to learn the rhythms and steps. From the very first moves, it was clear that we were going to have to be quick learners. Luis moved like the Energizer Bunny only to the rhythm of salsa, merengue and cumbia! We did learn, though. You can tell by the way everyone is moving basically in the same direction on the videos. We were all repeating "uno, dos, tres, cuatro" to the beat of the music by the end of the class as we practiced the steps. Actually, there isn't much more that can be said about the class.
