Here is one of the rooms in the Casona. Each room is slightly different but all are charming.
HI again!

Here is where I have been for the last 2 nights and will stay another, I think. It is really cozy (acogedora - a new spanish word for me) and beautiful. It is furnished with wonderful antiques including bureaus and high beds. One needs a stepstool to get up into the bed. The gardens are lovely and since it has been raining so much it is a great place to sit it out and for me to get over my cold. Rosaria is the owner and she is really sweet and accomodating. The others who work here, Roberto and Salvadora, are also lovely.

They have about 15 turtles that live in the garden and every day Roberto goes out and buys them chicken which they clean right off the bone.

I´m really enjoying my time here at the hotel. Walking outside with the exhaust and the rough sidewalks is another story. Unfortunately, I haven´t felt much like touring the museums, the churches and the ruins. This city life it just not for me!

Turtle toes
That looks like a more comfortable place, but I don't think I would go near those turtles with open toed shoes! It has never crossed my mind to feed chicken to a turtle! I am learning from here. Feel better.
