A short drive north of us is Catalina State Park. After all of the winter rains, we were sure to have a hike lined with flowers, but we weren't sure to the extent. We were pleasantly surprised as we were surrounded by stunning fields of orange, purple, yellow & white flowers. Geez, I really wish I knew the names of them! Seeing the desert come to life like this in the spring makes the hottest part of the summer bearable. The desert really is a magical place and we're so lucky to see it through the phases. So many people visit and think it's just brown or full of cacti. But it really is more than that! The astonishing beauty of Tucson and the surrounding areas surprises us every day😊
