Rishikesh

After leaving Pushkar we made our way to the capital Delhi where we met our Indian friends. Exciting to be in the City and to stay with a lovely family in a real house again.(THE kUTTY'S) The highlight of this visit was our trip to Rishikesh. This is another Holy town set in the pituresque mountains and the start of the Himalayers. This was the town the Beatles spent 6 weeks chilling out, meditating and waiting for inspiraration from a higher source. Most recently Brad Pitt came alone and actually stayed 5 minutes from our camp. He also took part in exactly the same white water rafting tour we made. We began our day at 6.30 am and initially went jungle trekking, here we saw a beautiful waterfall and Nadja wearing some very odd looking trousers. Nadja, one question....WHY? before we knew it we were strapped to a white water raft voluntarily and were riding some of the biggest rapids the Ganges had to offer. The most terrifying being 'The dreaded Golf Course' The water in the Ganges near Rishikesh was extremely clean, even drinkable, as it was near to the main source. So you could imagine we spent most of the time floating while admiring some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. A BIG THANKYOU TO THE KUTTY'S!
