10 Months

Hello Void,

How long have I been here? About 10 months. In 10 months I have done many new things I never imagined I would do. For all those things and more I am deeply thankful. I have grown immensely and my life has forever changed in previously unimaginable ways. However in 10 months living in China I have not been able to do many things I always took for granted.....

It’s been ten months and I can’t seem to remember
Anything that happened past last december

Walking in the park
Or Driving my car
Even watching youtube
and playing guitar

My last buffalo wing
Or eating Burger King

These are just memories
stuck in my head
Only in my sleep
can I eat real white bread

English on my tv
Or thoughts of what this might be

I remember going to movies
And playing in the snow
Watching baseball
Or giving the grass a mow

With rice infront of me
A Nacho or Burrito how nice that might be

I want to play with cody
I want to play with my friends
I want to eat at Taco Bell
And hope it never ends

I'd finally get to put my clothes in a dryer
and hopefully sit by the christmas fire

Some things I’ve been missing
Some things I've done
Some things I'm wanting
Some have just begun

Don’t be worried for I’ve found real bliss
But before I go I want to tell you this

I’ve been many places
I’ve wandered and romed
But I have to admit it
There’s no place like home

Feeling bored and wanting to write, I wrote you this poem, I hope it delights. Take care and Zai Jian

Food
I've missed certain foods in a terrible way. This is one of them.... and look at all that WONDERFUL cheese...

Spotted Cow
I have not watched a single game of american football or baseball on tv since I've been here. I need me some english tv, or some real internet for that matter, you know, like youtube, facebook, blogs, twitter...

Josie Wannabe
Driving, I really like driving, and I'm sick of walking. Going to a ride, even shotgun in a car is exciting for me

Golf
Playing Golf, Basketball, baseball, pickup games of anything, and other sports are something I've really missed

Sport Events
This beer is fantastic, like many other north american beers and the enviroment and friends that come with that stateside is unmatched.

Fun Poem
I wish I could bring a case of spotted cow with me when I come. Sadly I think my only option is to fill two ounce containers with beer and hope for the best - not exactly a perfect a plan. They do make soap out of Fat Squirrel though that might be more TSA friendly.

Bonus, your name has been mentioned every weekend since you left. A devine reunion it will be. Until I read this entry, I couldnt escape thoughts of the slim possibility that you would stay past your 1-year plan. Enjoy the last couple months.
