Well, I seem to be getting more and more comfortable in the city. Each day is a little bit easier. I had my first bus ride yesterday, solo. And it was quite an experience. I live near one of the local Futbol stadiums, and there was a game, so by the time that I got home at about 7:30 the streets were packed. I watched the game on TV since I didn't have a ticket, and I don't think that I was allowed to go anyway, since the game was between the Newells (a local team), and the Goias (a Brasilian team). My family is for the Centrals, which is the other local team, not the Newells. Every time that the Newells were carded my father cheered! It was amazing to hear the screams from the stadium so close to our house.
Tomorrow is a very important day here in Argentina, la Dia de la Memoria. For those that don't know much about Argentine history, 30 years ago there was a military junta, which was the bloodiest in the history of the country. Tommorow they are remembering los Desaparecidos, the people that disappeared (the majority were killed) by the governement at that time. There are going to be presentations by people related to desaparecidos as well as music and a bit of history. With the current liberal government under Nestor Kirschner this day seems to have taken on even more significance than it had before.
Next time I'll give you all a review of the night life and some pictures hopefully! Love y'all
