We are settling in to our 3 days on 4 days off followed by 4 days on and 3 days off schedule. There are 4 campground host couples. Only one, Van and Carol have worked at this park before. They are the lead hosts and are really trying to train us. Two others have worked at other parks and then there is Jan and I who look good in our uniforms. We have finished our training, but being elderly, we sometimes have to repeat a process a few times before we finally get it. Our end of the campground, which has the best beach access, is still closed for annual maintenance, but it will fully open next Friday, 3/19 for the first weekend of "Spring Break" season. I guess small quantities of beer are occasionally consumed and very rarely by under aged people. The summer season starts next weekend and unless you made a reservation 7 months to the day in advance, camping will be almost impossible, except for weekdays if you are lucky.

The Life guard tower was torn down but I guess the old tower roof will be salvaged and will be incorporated onto the new tower. Because of budget cuts, the new tower will be build on top of an old Cadillac Station wagon. I included both before and after tower photos.

with your comment on looking good in the uniform. Go team! However, I am disappointed not to see the Cadillac in situ. Maybe you could include that photo next. Thanks for the update. Mary
